John “Hunter” Stein is a physician assistant who specializes in psychiatry. He was born in Wheeling, WV and still lives locally. He studied at Wheeling Jesuit University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, before attending West Liberty University to receive a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. He understands the stigma that continues to exist around the treatment of mental health and addiction, and takes care to ensure that his patients feel comfortable and safe during appointments, and that they are given the time and attention they need to have their needs met. He has special interests in trauma, addiction, and depression. During his spare time, Hunter enjoys watching movies, working out, spending time with his wife and son.
