Ryan (Chase) Casto, MSW

My ideal client is an individual who needs guidance and is willing to take the necessary steps in getting the help from therapy or other resources as needed. Their goals would be to build themselves up and to utilize tools learned in therapy to be able to complete that process. Their needs would be needing the support they may have not gotten in some time, to learn skills they may not know or may have never been taught, someone to listen to them and help without any biases or judgement. They want to be successful in life but they haven’t been able to figure out how due to some struggles with their mental health. This client would want to change the cycle in their life and begin with making a new difference for a better life. They would be motivated, would take sessions seriously, and ask questions. They would work on being comfortable opening up and work towards putting in the work. After spending time conducting the necessary steps they would look back and see how far they had come. This client would learn to utilize everything taught in these sessions and hopefully help others out along their path. This client would want to be better of themselves and for their loved ones.

As a therapist I have had experience working with a lot of different backgrounds from autism, depression, anxiety, bi-polar, substance abuse, domestic violence, physical and verbal abuse, and many others. I have worked with children as young as 5 and up to adults with various different backgrounds and trauma. I have a background in CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, art therapy, behavior, anger management, and some others. I am always eager to learn and continue to study and research different therapy techniques. I strive to be professional, ethical, and respectful in my practice. I utilize an open conversation as I want to hear from the individual and to hear their story, every small detail as it helps paint the picture and to utilize this information to provide the best service I can as possible. Great at taking feedback as I want the session to be beneficial and as comfortable and engaging as possible.

Outside of a Therapist, I also look into ways to volunteer as often as I am able to. Along with coaching multiple youth sports such as soccer, baseball, and basketball. My goal is to give back to the community as much as possible and to help others when able to. I want everyone to understand I take pride in the job I do and have made goals to deliver the best services I can give. I would like my clients to see me as a caring and welcoming individual who does not have any bias or judgement, and overall want to provide the best help I possibly can and if I cannot direct them in the right direction to get that help. I care about all individuals and treat every individual differently, as humans we all come from different backgrounds and have different stories and trauma. I came from a poor background and have my own past trauma that has led me to becoming a therapist and wanting to help others who have gone through the toughest times in life. My life passion is to help others and to make an impact on individuals.
