My ideal client is someone who is active in their own treatment. I enjoy working with clients who have a vision for how they want their life to look and are willing to take concrete steps to bring that vision to life. This client understands that therapy for one hour a week is only a fraction of the healing process. I take a holistic approach, addressing both the body’s and the mind’s roles in shaping our mental health. My goal is to help clients better control their body’s response to trauma/stress, while also exploring and processing the emotions underneath.
I help clients understand their present inner world, how our dysfunctional patterns are often rooted in our past, and how to create a future that is unhindered by limiting, negative self beliefs. I help my clients process traumas (both “Big T” and “little t”) and rewrite the stories they tell themselves that keep them from having they life they want.
I am an open-minded, nonjudgmental professional who seeks to empower clients during the therapeutic process. I want my clients to come away from our sessions with a greater understanding of themselves, more self-compassion and compassion for others, and increased motivation to reach the goals they have set for therapy.
