Shea Wright, MA, NCC, PLPC

Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor

I am a clinician at our Morgantown clinic who provides therapy services!

I’m a counselor who believes everyone deserves a space where they feel safe, heard, and understood. I graduated from West Virginia University with my Master’s in School and Mental Health Counseling and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. My background is in school settings, where I’ve helped children, teens, and young adults work through anxiety, stress, emotional dysregulation, grief, and other difficult life experiences. I use a holistic, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach, blending psycho education, CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused strategies, and creative tools such as art and play to make counseling engaging and meaningful, especially with younger clients. When it’s helpful, I work with families to strengthen support at home.

I believe that healing is not a linear process, and I don’t expect perfection. My goal is to walk alongside clients at a pace that feels right for them, offering patience, empathy, and practical skills they can use in everyday life. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, navigating conflict, or processing past experiences, I’m here to help you move forward with resilience and confidence. No one should have to face life’s challenges alone!
