Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor
Hello there, my name is Jobe Murray. I offer therapy services at our Bridgeport, WV clinic.
I’ve gained my Bachelor’s degree in General Psychology and I have my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have a great amount of experience doing therapy with clientele: on the autism spectrum, who have experienced trauma, and who’re LGBTQIA+. The ages that I’ve worked with so far (and that I’m comfortable interacting with) are teens, adults, and the elderly. I use an approach rooted in Impact Therapy, where I’m willing to meet the client where they are in order to aid them while keeping them interested in their own treatment. I can’t wait to work with you!
I’m willing to listen and change my approach as we continue through therapy as needed. My experience with people having ASD has allowed me to learn how best to explain emotional/societal concepts to those who don’t inherently know them. And when it comes to Impact Therapy, it has aided me in knowing how to use roleplay, narrative, & other dynamic approaches.
I am here to listen and be there for you, regardless of your gender, race, ethnicity, background, or whatever else there is that defines you. I’m willing to hear you out as you go over whatever may be weighing on your mind, all while dishing out no judgement of your character. I’m here to help, and know that there’s no shame in asking for aid, from anyone.
